4 Incredible East Coast Vacations

The eastern coast of the United States is home to some of the most visited tourist destinations in the world. Impressively, the east coast is able to offer a wide variety of experiences – all wonderful, but all very different. Now I may be a bit bias since I do live on the east coast, BUT you can’t go wrong taking a trip out here!

A single post can’t sum up all the possibilities offered by a coastline that stretches for well over 2,000 miles, of course, but below, we’ve sought to detail arguably the most incredible experiences the east coast has to offer…I’m sure we have left out a thing or two, including parts of North and South Carolina, but take a look and let us know your favorite east coast destination!

Eat seafood in Cape Elizabeth

If you’re a fan of seafood, then it likely comes as no surprise to you that Maine is a state you’re definitely going to want to visit at some point. However, narrowing down where you should visit is often a little more difficult. However, of the plethora of options available, Cape Elizabeth may be the best choice; the views over the bay are beautiful, there’s a historic lighthouse to explore, and – most importantly of all – there are numerous award-winning restaurants to choose from.

Take a boat trip around Miami

We’re sure it’s no surprise to see Miami mentioned on this list; the city is the southern jewel of the east coast, and this post wouldn’t have been complete without it. However, narrowing down an experience that was quintessentially representative of Miami was a touch more difficult; in the end, we decided that looking for the best boat charter Miami has to offer and heading out onto the ocean waves is the cream of the crop. You can tour the coastline, admire the views of the city, and even venture further afield in order to explore the Biscayne National Park for an experience that will live long in the memory.

Climb to the top of the Empire State Building in New York

The Empire State Building in New York is not the tallest building or the most beautiful building – but it is, effortlessly, the most iconic. The Empire State building has featured in countless TV shows and movies over the years, and experiencing the height and the view for yourself is a must for any bucket list.

Explore the Freedom Trail in Boston

The Freedom Trail is a collection of significant sites that date back to the Revolutionary Period, with stops including churches, meeting houses, a ship, museums, and much more besides. It is, without a doubt, the quintessential American experience, allowing you to follow in the footsteps of the people who helped to give birth to a nation. There are a number of guided tours available for the trail, or you can visit the sites yourself in whatever order appeals – whatever you decide, the Freedom Trail never disappoints, and you’ll undoubtedly love every moment. Fun fact: this was a school field trip during my elementary school days!

The eastern coast of the USA offers an array of different experiences that any ardent traveler will want to try for themselves. If you’re currently thinking ahead and planning your next vacation, the experiences above are well worth considering – so the only question left is, which one should you do first?

I like speaking in # and giving people makeovers. Stick around!
