Welcome to day 2 of my 30 day blogging challenge! I’m sorta kicking myself for starting this challenge in April, because I already have so much else on my plate, but oh well. I really need to learn to juggle all of this better. So anyways, today’s topic is “where do you see yourself in 10 years”?

iStock_what-does-10-years-mean-to-you

That’s a good question! Well right now I’m in school for counseling, specifically addiction counseling, so ideally I would love to be working in the field. I would settle for anything in the human service field as well. As far as my life goes, I would *hope* to be married to my Christopher by then (god willing) and I also hope that we have a house and a dog or two, that would be nice.

Kids? Ugh, most likely not. I’m 32 and I don’t really hear a ticking clock yet, so my guess is probably not for me/us. Luckily Chris doesn’t really want them either, so that works out for me. There I go again talking about my relationship, yikes! Sorry everyone!

I should also mention that I will not be living in Rhode Island either. I plan to move to New Jersey next June, and who knows where we might end up in 10 years. I wouldn’t object to moving to the west coast for a little bit. I have a huge desire to live in Seattle or San Fran for small period of time.

So where do you see yourself in 10 years? Are you taking this challenge with me? Let me know in the comments below! Have a great Thursday!

Cheers!

xoxo Lindsay

My best friend majored in Human Services and just started Grad school at Pitt. Addiction counseling sounds very challenging and rewarding, good luck!

This is such a hard question to answer. I swear I change my mind daily on where I will be next year let alone in 10 years! Good luck in school and fingers crossed you land your dream job in the next 10 years!

I can’t even picture my future in the next year let alone in 10 years! But hopefully we will have kids and start building our house!

Great post. 🙂 No kids for you, too, eh?

I’d love to be an addictions counsellor. I find addictions so fascinating.

In 10 years, I think I’ll be living in a house, with lots of dogs and hopefully trying to iron out plans to “early retire” in my early 40s and do something fun with zero stress compared to the corporate world I’ve been in for 10 years now and will have been in it for 20 years ten years from now.

Always fun to plan out the future. Man life flies by so quickly though, it’s insane.

In 10 years I hope to be still traveling around the world and living my dream! 10 years seems like such a long time away, but it will be here before we know it! 🙂

It’s so hard to imagine yourself in ten years, this will be good to look back on though. You could be right where you want to be or you could be somewhere you never expected and laugh and your 10year younger self. I must give this one a go, it’ll be fun to read when we get there xx

Fun post! I have no idea where I’ll be in 10 years, lol. I’m hoping to (slowly) start a business through my blog so I would LOVE to be doing that full time by then! I hope to be in a happy & fulfilling relationship, and I hope to be traveling the world all the time (not sure how that will fit with the relationship, lol). As for kids…I’m right there with you! I’m a little older than you and have never heard the tick of the clock. I like to joke that my clock got lost on it’s way from Switzerland and never arrived! Good luck with everything! Sounds like you have a lot of exciting things on your plate! 🙂
