Is this 30 day blogging challenge dragging for you guys too? I feel like it should be over with and I’m sorta starting to think it was a bad idea-but I think I’ll keep going, for now.

So what do you think about horoscopes? Do you think your sign fits your personality? Well today’s topic asks just that question.

My sign is Virgo and I’d like to think it fits me quite well. For those of you unaware of Virgos, we are born in late August and then into September (I don’t know when it stops). I wanted to do some research about Virgos officially speaking and this is what it said:

Those born under this sign are forever the butt of jokes for being so picky and critical (and they can be), but their ‘attention to detail’ is for a reason: to help others. Virgos, more than any other sign, were born to serve, and it gives them great joy. They are also tailor-made for the job, since they are industrious, methodical and efficient.

The great strength of the Virgo-born is in their practicality, sharp mind and attention to detail. When merged with their willingness to serve, Virgos become essential helpmates. They can be picky — so what?

Some might even go as far as calling them self-centered, but it’s really more of a desire to surround themselves with what’s right — for them. This knack for discernment also serves Virgos well in business, where their decisions are usually dead-on. Those born under this sign are eminently sensible and use their critical eye well. While Virgos can be worrywarts, they do their best to temper these impulses. However, if this nervousness goes unchecked, it can lead to hypochondria, that ugly skeleton in the Virgo’s closet. For that reason, Virgos are extremely health conscious, to the point of being storehouses of information on diet and hygiene.

I would have to say that, that small blurb is pretty accurate. There was something else in the article about liking the gym-and perhaps that’s true, but not me!! I have also noticed anxiety being a key part of our Virgo-ness, not just with me but other Virgos that I have met.

I have also noticed that we tend to be a tad OCD, shy, and self-conscious. Like I said, I can’t speak for all Virgos but I do know a few and we share these similar traits.

I wouldn’t say that I believe fully in signs and horoscopes but it does give you something to think about when it does seem quite fitting!! I don’t know too much about other signs and how accurate they are, but it is fun to look up your sign and see if it fits your personality. As I sit as this coffee shop writing this post, I just overheard someone say “it’s because I’m a Gemini.” haha I almost want to chime in but I won’t.

Alrighty kids-what are your thoughts on this topic? Do you believe in it? Tell me in the comments below!

xoxo Lindsay

I don’t go out of my way to read my horoscope or anything, but I can say a lot of the Scorpio traits I identify with (loyalty being a big one and a tendency to get jealous :/ lol)

I am a virgo and that suits me to a T. Although most descriptions also say that Virgo’s are very unforgiving and once you have broken their trust, it’s extremely difficult, if not impossible, to win it back. I think that comes with the loyalty and devotion we will show to a person though, while we are fiercly devoted and loyal, we take it seriously and expect the same in return.

I think it’s fun to read about astrological signs, but I can’t say I’m a huge follower or anything. I’m an Aries and some of the characteristics apply to me, but there are some that are WAY off, lol. My mom is a Virgo and same thing…I could see some of her in that description (the worrywart part especially! I’m not a worryer and I have always said that’s because she worries enough for both of us that I don’t have to, lol), but then others don’t apply – she’s definitely not super picky or a hypochondriac. But, I still find it fun to read them!!

It’s fun to think about and sometimes it seems accurate but other times not so much. Some people swear by them though.
