• Accessories as investments?

    Chances are that you already accessorize when it comes to pulling an outfit together. Accessorizing really is key when it comes to creating an outfit that stands out from the crowd at the same time as adding your own personal touch to proceedings. Now, a good tip when it comes to accessorizing is to see every purchase as an investment piece. (say what?!) Spending a little more money on your accessory will help to ensure that you have pieces that quite so many other people haven’t already got at the same time as ensuring you purchase a piece of extremely good quality that will last for years to come. High-quality…

  • 5 dry skin solutions

    This time of year has its pro’s and con’s for me. I love the cooler weather, because that means more skinny jeans and ankle booties BUT my skin hates this weather. Everything from my forehead to my toes are AWLAYS dry. Trying to figure out what to use on my skin has been this on-going battle for many years but I am finally getting somewhere! Many of you know I started selling Beautycounter and I try my best not to shove it down your throat, but it really has become my saving grace in so many ways. Thanks to my co-worker who suggested that I share some of my favorite…

  • Extracting my facial virginity

    A couple of weeks ago, I embarked on something totally new to me. I teamed up with like-minded gal named Lindsay. While, teaming up with other ladies in the blog world isn’t new to me, this collaboration was one for the books. Let me introduce Lindsay Sullivan Skincare. It’s always nice when you have someone reach out to you, especially with the SAME name, and ask you to partner up on a couple of collaborations. Her name is Lindsay AND she’s into skincare, I signed right up. What I learned from Lindsay was that she is a makeup artist and certified skincare specialist. After chatting one day after work, we…

  • 5 must-haves trends this Winter

    It’s not winter yet but that doesn’t mean we are anticipating it. Winter in New England means two things; 1. cold 2. snow. Want to survive a winter in New England looking on fleek? Besides a snow blower, here are 5 must-haves you’ll want to stock up on. A pair of practical-ish cute boots. I picked up a pair at Target and have already been sporting them for these colder mornings. I envision these getting me all the way through February. I would also recommend a pair of wedge booties for dressing up. Vests are back and better than ever. I’m not talking about puffy vests but more of the…

  • Destination Bridesmaid {what to pack}

    As I mentally prepare for my upcoming trip, I am overwhelmed with the thought of packing. I have started a list but have found myself sleepless at night, trying to make sure I don’t forget to pack something of importance. Many of you know I’m not traveling to Chicago strictly for fun, I’m heading about 2.5 hours south (?) to farm country to take part in my best friends wedding. So as you can see, I have a lot to remember! Last night my friend Nicole came over to give me a hair and makeup trial for the wedding. She is also invited and making the trip out to IL.…

  • Unbagging: Ipsy January 2015

    New year, new glambag from Ipsy. Yesterday I received my second Ipsy bag since subscribing. While it has been nice getting samples in the mail each month, I decided to unsubscribe for a little while. I tend to do that with these type of things. I used Birchbox for a few months and then again with Ipsy. I will say that out of the two, Ipsy is probably my favorite. I canceled for two reasons; one being the money and two I’m just about set with new makeup for awhile. If you wear it everyday I can see keeping the subscription but for someone like me it just goes unused.…
