• Safe Skincare–Clean Beauty

You guys, I am beyond excited to share some AMAZING news with you. If you will recall from my facial post, I joined up with another Lindsay to receive my very first professional facial. After that facial and testing out a few products, I decided that it was time to earn some extra income doing what I love to do, which is sharing skincare and makeup with you all! That being said, I am officially set up as a Beautycounter consultant–which means I get to share new products with you guys and if the spirit moves you, go shopping with me! So what exactly is Beautycounter? I’m not going to…

  • Extracting my facial virginity

A couple of weeks ago, I embarked on something totally new to me. I teamed up with like-minded gal named Lindsay. While, teaming up with other ladies in the blog world isn’t new to me, this collaboration was one for the books. Let me introduce Lindsay Sullivan Skincare. It’s always nice when you have someone reach out to you, especially with the SAME name, and ask you to partner up on a couple of collaborations. Her name is Lindsay AND she’s into skincare, I signed right up. What I learned from Lindsay was that she is a makeup artist and certified skincare specialist. After chatting one day after work, we…

  • Unboxing my daily goodie box

A month or so ago I received a Daily Goodie Box and for starters I had never even heard of it, so I was super excited when it came in the mail! For those of you that follow me on social media you probably saw a video on Snap Chat and Instagram live showcasing the unboxing. So here I am two months later and I wanted to share with you guys a couple of the products that I have actually purchased since receiving the box! What I loved:  Nellie’s All Natural Laundry Soda and Stain Stick. So I received a sample size of the laundry soda and instantly fell in…

  • I tried HelloFresh: here’s what happened

This week is going on my second week in my new apartment. Last week, being my first week, I opted to try HelloFresh for my week night meals, to save time and a bit of money. HelloFresh is pretty expensive but if you know someone who has tried it, chances are you can get a discount which was the case with me. So what happens is, you sign up for HelloFresh, either by coupon code or you just pay the regular amount, and then you get to customize your box/recipes. I opted for 3 meals for 2 people. The box comes refrigerated which is great and was waiting for me…

  • Moving 101: My first place

I’m just going to apologize now for the amount of posts related to my new move, but I’m so friggen’ excited I can’t contain myself. So yes, this is my first place at 34 years old (I know, I know). So it occurred to me that maybe I should share some of my first place/moving tips with you guys, maybe some of you are moving or know someone who is! After I found MY place the first thing I would recommend is taking lots of pictures. I took quite a few but should have taken more, especially different nooks/angles so you can remember size information. If your new place has…

  • Voodoo Donuts, worth the hype?

After an episode on The Travel Channel some years ago, I was instantly drawn to the crazy flavors and variety that Voodoo Donut was selling. While not living on the west coast or even in the middle of the United States, the chances of me trying one was pretty slim, that is until a week ago. Making plans to see my best friend out in Denver, Colorado involved visiting the Red Rocks, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Voodoo Donuts. I don’t typically crave donuts but this was something that I NEEDED to try. I settled on two flavors: cocoa puffs and oreo peanut butter. The cereal was a tad stale…

  • Staying cool, looking fabulous

Today might just be the hottest day of the year here in Rhode Island. I was in such a “mood” because of the heat, it’s like don’t even talk to me, because that is taking too much energy to respond. Luckily I work in an Air Conditioned building, but going from building to building in this weather isn’t fun either. Right now one of my biggest challenges is dressing for this weather at work. For starters, I have a strict dress code working in the prison, but yet it’s summer in Rhode Island and freezing in my office. So how have I dealt? By adding key pieces to my wardrobe.…
