• down on the farm

A little over a month ago I headed to Illinois for my best friends wedding (I was also in the wedding). So needless to say it had been over two years in the making and it turned out to be a fantastic day! The boyfriend and I flew out to Chicago a few days before the actual wedding, hoping to spend some time in Chicago. We ended up getting 1/2 a day there, but that’s okay, we totally plan on going back sometime soon! Our time in Chicago was pretty fun, even though we didn’t have much time. So what did we do? After checking in at The W Hotel,…

  • T-11 days…

In 11 days I will be Chicago bound!! Now before I get ahead of myself, I am not staying in Chicago very long. The reason for my trip to Illinois is for my best friends wedding I have been talking about for over a year now. I am in the wedding, so things were particulary busy on my end earlier this year. The other exciting part is, my boyfriend and I, will get to spend just about 1 full day in Chicago and I can’t wait! The wedding is located about 2.5 hours south, I think? Regardless, it’s kinda sorta in the middle of nowhere and that’s where we will…

  • Sail away on the Block Island Ferry

I know that I’ve mentioned how crazy busy I have been but I wanted to share with you the trip I took over Memorial Day weekend. Many of you know I  am from Rhode Island and we are known for our beaches. There is a great little island called Block Island that you need to take a ferry to get too–I have been many times as a kid but I hadn’t been back in a few years. Chris (boyfriend) had never been before and when another couple asked us if we wanted to go, of course we said yes! My boyfriend has a love/hate relationship with Rhode Island, most likely…

  • 7 things to do this weekend

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend, yay! 3-day weekend and I couldn’t be more excited!! I’m heading to NJ again to see my boo, and I really need to start looking up things to do while I am there. Last weekend we went to a wine tasting at Torne Valley Vineyards in Hillburn, NY. It was super romantic and very relaxing!! Of course, my man didn’t think it was that romantic (typical guy) but it really was, trust me! While I’m sure most you have a cook-out to attend to and what not but if you’re looking for something else to do, check out these 7 things: 1. Go to…

  • 5 Reasons to visit Munich

Happy Saturday lovelies! I hope your weekend is off to a great start. This morning on the blog we have Amanda from J to Z here with us to tell us ALL the wonderful things Germany has to offer.  I am thrilled to have her here this morning because I love travel and I have always wanted to visit Germany!! Germany is seriously underrated in the tourism department. I feel like there is this weird idea that Greece, Italy, and France are all more “exotic” than the other European countries. And not that France isn’t lovely… it is. But I don’t know why places like Germany and Austria ( and many others I am sure)…
