Valentine’s Day has come and gone and before I post about my actual day, I wanted to share with you one of the gifts that I made my boyfriend this year. I called it a jar full of love notes, and basically what that is, is strips of paper folded up in a jar that say cute or romantic things. Currently many of you know we are in a long distance relationship so I thought whats a better idea then giving my boyfriend a reminder when needed just how much I love him.
This was quite possibly the easiest present I have ever made and could easily be transformed into different holidays/birthdays/anniversaries as well.
Step 1:
Get a jar. I used a mason jar I had lying around the house. Any size will work.

Step 2:
Figure out what you want to write and start typing.

Step 3:
Create a note for the outside of your jar.

Step 4:
Cut up your notes, fold them up inside your jar. Tie a ribbon around your jar and attach note.

As you can see this was SUPER easy and now that Valentine’s Day is over I can share it with you all. Truth be told my boyfriend liked this gift the best out of the two I gave him. Following your heart is always a good thing! I hope your Valentine’s Day was great! Tell us what you did or what you received in the comments below!

My boyfriend and I really don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day but this could also be great for a Birthday or anniversary.

February 21, 2015 at 10:09 pm (3 years ago)Aw. You are so lucky! This would make a great gift. Or you could do one for yourself listing a bunch of good things that happened to you and make it a Gratitude Jar! 🙂

February 22, 2015 at 9:40 am (3 years ago)This is so cute! My husband and I used to write each other notes in our lunchboxes, and we’re trying to start doing that again. This would be such a cute way for us to write notes, and I could hide it in his office to open later.
