A little over a month ago I headed to Illinois for my best friends wedding (I was also in the wedding). So needless to say it had been over two years in the making and it turned out to be a fantastic day!

The boyfriend and I flew out to Chicago a few days before the actual wedding, hoping to spend some time in Chicago. We ended up getting 1/2 a day there, but that’s okay, we totally plan on going back sometime soon! Our time in Chicago was pretty fun, even though we didn’t have much time.

So what did we do?

After checking in at The W Hotel, we headed over to Millennium Park, so that I could be all touristy and take lots of pictures!

Our next stop was to a few local bars before stopping at Lou Malnati’s for the classic deep dish pizza that I was dying to try! To say it was good is an understatement–I love deep dish in general, so I was pretty much in heaven!

Discovering that we were pretty intoxicated after dinner, it was straight back to the hotel. The following day is when we would drive out to the “farm” land to get ready for the wedding!

Now, I don’t want to bore you with ALL the wedding details, so instead I thought I’d show you some awesome pictures instead!

Being in Illinois was pretty different but in a good way, compared to Rhode Island. Chris and I are not really “farm” people but it was fun to enjoy the simpler things in life for a few days. It’s kinda strange how much planning went into this day and how quickly the time has come and gone. I myself hope to be engaged relatively soon, I’m hoping that I can manage to savor all of the moments.

Thanks for hanging out with me so I could share my min-trip with you! If you’d like more details don’t hesitate to ask!

Cheers!

xoxo Lindsay
