I can’t belive it’s already been 30 days. 30 days of planking as part of a group on Facebook my friend Erica decided to start.  When first starting this challege and seeing that my final end time should be a 5 minute plank, I was skeptical and not really sure I would finish strong and with the rest of the group.

As I right this on day 30, I am amazed at my results and progress. Not only did I finish strong but I managed to hold a 5 minute plank! Yes I’ve been holding a modified plank because of lower back issues but don’t let anyone tell you a modified plank doesn’t work.

Fitness goals and journey’s are so tedious and at times you really do feel like giving up but looking back on my day 1 photo and comparing it with today’s, I am so glad I didn’t give up. I still have a way’s to go as far as weight loss goes, but the fact remains that I won’t be giving up anytime soon. In fact I think Erica has a new challenge waiting for me that starts on July 1st!


So what are the benefits to planking? It’s not just abs kids, it’s EVERYTHING! For starters I noticed it in my arms right away because they are holding up your weight. What I didn’t expect to notice it was other places besides my stomach. I can see it in my legs, my ass, my back-it’s insane how much you can change your body in 30 days. The other crazy part of this is my belly button has gotten smaller!! Did you think you could get a smaller belly button?! I certainaly didn’t! But the proof is in my photos which were not filtered at all!

    This is SO exciting! I’ve been debating a plank challenge for a while now and this post makes me want to give it a try. I’ve got enough challenges on my plate for July but maybe I’ll add this one to August! ๐Ÿ™‚

    wow! Those are amazing results for just planking! Do you have the 30 day schedule handy? I’d love if you could share it with me. I really need to do something for my tummy …. and soon ๐Ÿ™‚

    I am SO proud of you!!! Isn’t it amazing?! I cannot wait to see you at the end of this month. I love how great my arms feel, and my legs.
