Hello there everyone–I can’t believe I am writing this post, mainly because I can’t believe how fast 6 months has gone by. It’s been just about 6 months since I gave up dairy and my boyfriend (haha). Needless to say I am 98% free of dairy and 100% free of him!
Can you believe that I am still dairy free?! The 2% is the occasional mashed potato I have that I’m assuming has some butter in it, but for the most part my life consists of dairy substitutes and I couldn’t be happier.
If you are reading this post and are confused, you can read my segway to being dairy free here. I have to say, I still don’t miss the dairy. I mean yea, it’s weird not stopping for ice cream or buying it at the store, but I gotta tell you, I make so many better choices when I’m out to eat and at the grocery store.
I know that most people feel as though they could never give up dairy but that “can’t” attitude is just hindering you, that’s all. It sounds so cheesy (pardon the pun) but you really can do what you set your mind to. My only concern now is that, since I am traveling to Rome this summer, we all know I’m going to want to try some dairy, how do I work that into my diet without becoming sick??
